Advocating for Excellence in Education Through Experience

Hamilton Education Foundation

I'm proud to have been part of the founding of the Hamilton Education Foundation (HEF) in 1992. HEF plays a crucial role in our community by hosting annual fundraisers, with the proceeds supporting grants and scholarships for students, as well as grants for teachers.
These grants foster enhanced and enriched learning opportunities, benefiting both students and educators. To date, HEF has awarded over $2,000,000, making a significant impact on our school district.
As a dedicated supporter of HEF, I am excited to continue championing education and contributing to the success of students and teachers in the Hamilton School District.

Transcripted College Credits

Hamilton High School has excelled in providing students with valuable Transcripted College Credits, surpassing all other Waukesha County High Schools. In a single year, our students earned an impressive 2,125 Transcripted College Credits, valued at a total tuition of $305,000.
What sets Hamilton apart is that these credits were earned at no cost to the students and without any additional expense to the district. This accomplishment not only demonstrates our commitment to academic excellence but also highlights our dedication to providing opportunities for students to advance their education seamlessly.
These Transcripted Credits hold substantial value, offering students transferable credits that can be applied towards their post-secondary education at various institutions. It's a testament to Hamilton's commitment to preparing students for success beyond high school.

Lowered Tax Rate

As a dedicated board member, I've tirelessly worked to ensure a high-quality education for our community while keeping a watchful eye on our tax rates. Over the last two decades, our commitment to financial responsibility has been evident, with the tax rate decreasing from a high of $11.44 to the current rate of $6.91.
This achievement is particularly noteworthy because, during this period, we haven't sacrificed academic standards. Despite the reduction in the tax rate, our schools have consistently maintained high academic results, reflecting our unwavering dedication to providing an excellent education while being mindful of the financial impact on our community.

The AET Program

A significant accomplishment during my tenure is the establishment of the Applied Engineering and Technology (AET) program. This groundbreaking initiative spans all three education levels—high school, middle school, and intermediate school. Remarkably, the AET program has earned the prestigious "Program of the Year" recognition from the Wisconsin Technology Education Association, a distinction achieved simultaneously at each level.
This notable achievement is the first instance where multiple programs within the same district have been honored in the same year. I invite you to experience the impact of the AET program firsthand by joining us at the next open house. I am confident that you will be thoroughly impressed by the innovative strides we've made in advancing education at every level.
